Libby had twin boys on 5/28/24. Labor was a bit rough for her and ended in an Emergency visit to Tufts. Thank god for Dr. Copes! Twin #1 was not in the proper position (he was sideways with his spine towards the exit). Dr. Copes was able to go in and manually reposition him. The first 1 was a big boy, Dr. Copes even said "wow, you're a tank!". The 2nd twin was a bit small. We actually thought he wasn't alive but after what seemed like forever, he started to move and I began to clean him and get his airway cleared. Once we got home, both babies and mommy where reunited. Due to the size and safety of the 2nd twin, we brought him inside. He couldn't move well and momma had already stepped on him. I knew if I left him out with her, he wouldn't make the night. Not to mention the dr had concerns about him making it through the night and potentially chocking when trying to feed. Twin 1 we named Tank and Twin 2 we named Butterscotch (Butter's). Tank weighed in around 5 lbs. and Butter's was only 1.5 lb. Momma ended up rejecting little Butter's so he became my baby and a house goat!
Justice had twin girls on 5/31/2024. Unlike Libby's delivery, Justice was able to have a natural delivery with limited assistance. The 1st twin was a bit big though. We knew the ultrasound showed 2 but due to her size we thought for sure it was just the one. Twin 2 ended up coming right out after the first one and I almost missed it. Twin #1 is named Cinnamon and Twin #2 is named Sugar. Momma is a great milk producer, but unfortunately she only wants to let 1 nurse. It was been a struggle to let get her to let Cinnamon nurse and after fighting and holding her down for a week, we decided to turn Cinnamon into a bottle baby. Momma hasn't rejected her completely, they all still sleep together and hang out. Everyone is healthy and happy! Cinnamon weighed in around 4 lbs. 4 oz and Sugar weighed in around 4 lbs.
The big boy of the group!Â
She is bit shy and a momma's girl.
She is an absolute sweetheart!
